Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. (swimming and beach areas close at 8.00 p.m.)

Saturday 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. (swimming and beach areas close at 8 p.m.)

Sunday 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Night dives available during the season Fridays and Saturdays by reservation.

New for 2008: Added this year is hot and
cold running showers for your convenience.
Flush toilets are also available for campers.
To gain entrance get a key at the front
gate. There is a $5.00 fee for non-campers.

 

 


Concerts are a regular experience at the quarry in the summer. Annual events include the Country Blowout and . Added this year is the Parrots of the Caribbean concert the weekend of August 2.


The Portage Quarry shares the International Legends of Diving with UNEXSO on Grand Bahama Island starting in 2009.

Instructors admitted free with Students and 2008 proof of insurance

  • Must show Proof of Certification or be with an instructor

  • Night Dives available upon request on Friday & Saturday only

  • During the week, dive shop is available for air fills upon call by gate keeper

Portage Quarry has been built through the years with the dive instructor and student classes in mind so that students and divers can enter the quarry at any point. 3/4 of the quarry can be entered on a stone ledge in knee deep water. Thus we cater to all instructors and classes.

Grassy primitive camping areas with picnic tables

Campfires are permitted only in camping area

Camping trailers and tents welcome along with RVs
Some Electrical and Water - Additional $ 7.00 per day

Hook-ups Available On a First Come Basis
The remainder of the camping areas are primitive sites
